The Farm

Our story begins with Mandy - a girl in an apartment in Washington, D.C. with a dream of becoming a vet. Mandy got her first goat when she came to Athens for grad school, and the pair became inseparable.

Not long after, Mandy was introduced to John, and what started as a business deal turned into a family and a herd of Nubian goats.

Now, Leaping Goat Soap has grown into a full-fledged family business. Mandy, John, their daughter Sam, and her husband Matt all participate in everything from soap making to markets to cuddling adorable babies during kidding season. We love the relationships we build with the goats and the individual personalities they each have. To be able to raise animals and give them a great life whilst producing an amazing product doesn’t get much better!

Mandy

The OG farmer and Leaping Goat Soap creator. From growing up in an 8th floor Washington DC apartment to running a successful goat farm in Georgia.

John

First put goats on the farm in the mid-70’s. They were soon moved on once Mandy came along with her own.

Sam

Chief baby goat cuddler. Can hear a goat in need of a hug from a mile away.

Matt

Shipped in from the UK to do a bit of everything. Soap maker, marketer and seller; goat milker and head of chin rubs. Responsible for all the terrible TikToks of the gang.

Dr. Zoe

Family vet in charge of the whole crew’s wellbeing. Has saved many goat lives and has helped maintain a healthy herd.

Daniel

General handyman and landscaper. Keeps the farm tidy and the humans in check.

Evie

The newest and arguably cutest member of the Leaping Goat Crew. Already has her sights set on the head honcho role and plans to be the company's first infant CEO.
